The New York Bromeliad Society
is one of 54 affiliates of the Bromeliad Society International. From the
United States, Central and South America, Hawaii, Japan, Australia, New
Zealand and Europe we are all dedicated to learning about the culture
and biology of the beautiful bromeliad family of plants. Our meetings are generally held on the first Tuesday of the month at Ripley-Grier Studios at 520 8th Avenue (between 36th and 37th Streets, 16th Floor). Stop at the Reception Desk for exact meeting room. Meetings start promptly at 7pm. The Society does not meet during July, August and September. We exchange information
at monthly meetings where instruction is offered by expert growers and
plants can be swapped or bought at bargain prices. We also have several major plant sales a year for members with hundreds of species and hybrids at below wholesale prices. New York Bromeliad Society members receive our monthly bulletin, BROMELIANA, with articles about the techniques of growing bromeliads and color photos. (please note that our meeting address has been changed to Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 8th Avenue between 36th and 37th Streets in Manhattan on the 16th Floor).
